ABOUT
Project 13 is a non-profit and our mission statement is very simple and straight forward.
We are dedicated to ending human trafficking once and for all.
With a very direct and simplified mission statement our promise to you is that 80 cents of every dollar donated goes toward meeting our mission and helping reach victims. Our volunteers and staff work tirelessly in the communities to raise awareness and help.
But who are we? We are a professional group of individuals from various different walks of life, each with different experiences that led us to this fight. We have come together to fight for a higher purpose that won't accept the current 1% rescue rate of victims as "ok". We fight not only for our children but for yours. Because Trafficking effects people in all walks of life, all colors and in every town through our nation and globally. From our Board of Directors, to our Partners, to each and every volunteer we have a passion and drive surpassed by no one, to end trafficking. We share the passion for helping victims out of the trafficking industry and utilizing every new idea and technology available to complete our mission.
So how did we come up with Project 13? In December 1865 the 13th amendment was passed into law. The 13th amendment states: " Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction..".
With that step the U.S. Congress abolished slavery in the US. The wording is perfect, yet slavery still exists with 32 million victims and climbing. More than double what was taken into slavery during the trans-Atlantic slave trade and more victims today than at any point in world history. We believe in the Constitution, most Americans do. However the 13th amendment is not just a U.S. law, it's about what is right and just. Project 13 was created to find new solutions to this growing age old problem and the belief that there should be no slavery in todays society. We the people, need to get back on track and quit taking freedoms for granted. Like all missions it takes commitment and we will need everyone in the fight against the 41 Billion dollar and climbing ,criminal industry Trafficking is. Donate or Join us in this fight, no victim deserves to endure that environment for even 1 more second.

When I was asked to serve the mission of Project 13, I jumped in with both feet. I believe we can truly make a difference to stomp out this age-old problem. With a decade in law enforcement, I knew I could bring that expertise to the team. As a single father myself, I can’t imagine the hell victims endure. I put myself in the shoes of every family we encounter and treat them as my own.

I'm an over protective momma bear when it comes to kids. My oldest child had an incident with a trafficker in 2020. The whole thing scared us and really opened my eyes. This is a fight that has to happen. I believe with my soul we can accomplish our mission. There is plenty of work that needs to be done and this is a uphill fight for sure.
